What is teer?
Teer (the Khasi word for “arrow”) is a numbers game built on a real, watchable event: rounds of archery held each afternoon at licensed counters in and around Shillong. It is unique among Indian numbers games because the outcome comes from a physical count rather than a machine or a draw of tokens. Teams of archers shoot at a bundle of straw; officials count how many arrows struck the target, and the last two digits of that total (00–99) are declared as the winning number. Each playing day has two draws — the First Round (F/R) and the Second Round (S/R). The best-known game is Shillong Teer; others include Khanapara (Assam) and Juwai.
How teer works
On a typical day, in the First Round archers shoot a larger volley of arrows; officials tally the hits and the last two digits become the First-Round number. A shorter Second Round follows and produces the Second-Round number. Both are published and recorded here by date. Because the result depends on exactly how many of hundreds of arrows strike the target, it is effectively impossible to influence or forecast. Pages elsewhere that promise a “target”, “hit number” or “dream number” are describing superstition or past frequency, not a prediction.
Is teer legal?
In Meghalaya, yes — teer is expressly legalised and regulated. An earlier framework under the Meghalaya Amusements and Betting Tax Act was consolidated by the Meghalaya Regulation of the Game of Arrow Shooting and the Sale of Teer Tickets Act, 2018 (amended 2019), and Shillong Teer is organised under the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association (KHASA). Licensed counters operate under state oversight. Outside Meghalaya the position is mixed and online teer betting is restricted or unlawful in many places — this page is informational, not legal advice, and you are responsible for the law where you live.

Frequently asked questions
What is the teer result today?
Today’s Shillong, Khanapara and Juwai Teer first-round (F/R) and second-round (S/R) winning numbers are shown in the table above as each round is announced.
What is teer?
Teer is a legal, regulated archery-based numbers game from Meghalaya. Licensed archers shoot arrows at a target and the last two digits of the total hits (00–99) become the winning number.
Is teer legal?
Yes, in Meghalaya — it is regulated under the Meghalaya Regulation of the Game of Arrow Shooting and the Sale of Teer Tickets Act, 2018 (Shillong Teer via KHASA). Its status elsewhere varies by state; check your local law.
What time are teer results declared?
Shillong first round is usually ~3:50 PM and second round ~4:50 PM; Khanapara ~4:10/4:45 PM; Juwai earlier in the afternoon. Times vary slightly by season. There is usually no Sunday draw for Shillong/Khanapara/Juwai.
What is a teer “common number”?
It means the numbers that have appeared most often in past results — historical frequency only. It does NOT predict the next draw; teer outcomes are random, and a “guaranteed” number is always a scam.
Can teer numbers be predicted?
No. The result depends on exactly how many of hundreds of arrows strike the target, so it cannot be forecast. Treat teer as entertainment only; if it is causing harm, free confidential help is available.
